Our mission is to lift your voice for affordability, safety, security and freedom
The Honourable Roger S. Bacon was a pioneering blueberry and dairy farmer, family man, and dedicated public servant to Nova Scotia from 1970 to 1993.
Roger never forgot his roots and kept the communities he served at the heart of his decisions. Roger and Patricia shared a love of debate, politics and people. They were also known to have heated discussions beside the fireplace on the farm where Patricia learned incredible lessons that guide her today.
Patricia speaks fondly of her formative moments with her Grandfather and holds close the importance and POWER of learning how to listen then take action to help your community. Roger is no doubt partly responsible for Patricia's inspiration to serve the people who call Central Nova home.
The Honourable Roger Bacon held many positions over his time in government including, Municipal County Councillor and Deputy Warden, Provincial Minister responsible for EMO Act and Regulations, Minister of Tourism, Minister of the Environment, Minister of Agriculture, Minister of Housing, Deputy Premier, and finally ending his service in the top job as Premier while the party chose a new leader.
The Bacon family is very proud of Roger's many accomplishments especially given he left school at a young age to take care of the family farm for his Father. Roger's humble beginnings, work ethic and community work serve as an inspiration to all for what is possible if you put your head down and get to work.
Family matters and building community starts there. This photo highlights exactly how the Auchnie family connects through love and laughter. Patricia met Henry (of Aberdeen Scotland) on a farm work exchange program. They have been together ever since and married for almost 24 years. Patricia believes family is the place where we learn who we are - our values, beliefs, sense of community, mindset o
Our Nomination Candidate believes volunteering in community is rewarding and brings us closer to people and projects we care about. Patricia is seen here accepting a service recognition certificate from Denise Vanwychen, Eastern Shore Musquodobit Community Health Board Coordinator. Volunteering has been part of Patricia's life from the early days of Saturday morning gym and swim programs with chil
In Patricia's role with her company as a leadership advisor, consultant and counsellor, she provides mental health awareness and services to industries including fishing, farming, production and retail. The importance of taking a population health approach to public policy is always top of mind for Patricia. This photo was taken while shooting a safety video for a collaborative fishing industry pr
Advocating for common sense solutions has always been part of Patricia's approach to political action and making things better. Working together for better is a value Patricia's father Doug Bacon instilled. Here is Premier Houston with Patricia at a N.S. Federation of Agriculture meeting where Patricia and Doug were raising issues of concern and offering potential solutions to make things better f
Growing up on the farm gave Patricia a unique perspective on team work and what good stewardship of land looks like. Patricia acknowledges that lessons learned on the farm are often more valuable than lessons learned in a classroom! Patricia and her father are shown here feeding the beef on the family farm. They are both in their happy place here!
When Patricia is not mothering, wifing, teaching, speaking, counselling, training, socializing, volunteering/ working on a project or running her business, you may find her chasing waves on a local surf break with her children. Play together, stay together has been her motto for raising her children with Henry.
We are working to ELECT Patricia Auchnie by earning your TRUST and VALUED vote at the Central Nova Federal NOMINATION MEETING. A mother to 3, wife to Henry, a farmer's daughter and small business owner. Patricia was honoured to be asked by many community members to run for the people of CENTRAL NOVA. Join our mission!
Being asked to serve your community as an elected official is an honour. In her career of helping, Patricia has held various leadership positions in the not-for-profit, public, corporate, and government sectors in addition to her volunteer work. These experiences position Patricia well for the team work and ethical integrity required to effectively represent the people of Central Nova. Helping people and communities solve problems to reach their potential with fewer barriers has been Patricia's life work and she hopes to continue this work as your chosen Member of Parliament.
Politics is not something new to the Bacon family. No doubt, Patricia’s grandfather, The Honourable Roger Bacon had an influence on her desire to serve her community. Roger was elected in 1970, sat as an MLA for 23 years and served in many ministerial positions, including Agriculture and Tourism. Roger also served as Premier for a short time before his retirement back to the farm. Patricia’s father has also been a significant influence on her through his desire to help others, and his action in advocacy to help make things better for his neighbours and province. In 2022 Patricia’s father was chosen by the Premier of Nova Scotia to receive the Queen's Jubilee Medal for his dedication and contributions to Nova Scotia.

We are a team of community focused people with deep roots here in Central Nova. We are health care professionals, engineers, students, teachers, fishers, farmers, hunters, riggers, realtors, business owners, retired seniors and parents who prepared to take ACTION.
If you (and perhaps your family) hold Conservative values, or you are leaning toward voting conservative in the next election, we need, and respectfully request your help NOW.
Patricia is hearing that people feel like they have no voice when it comes to federal government decisions. The most recent blow to Canadians being the smoke and mirrors of the Carbon Tax. We are hearing about our neighbours, friends and community members who can not afford basic needs like food, medication and rent. Safety, security and unity of our country are in a code critical state and Patricia believes we need all hands on deck to right this ship.
Central Nova citizens, please join us now in taking democratic action and become part of our positive minded campaign toward the necessary political change our communities so desperately need now.
If you care about respectful representation from the grassroots up, lower taxes and implementation of common sense solutions that reduce red tape for our unique, rural, coastal communities then you meet our criteria!
As volunteers for Patricia, we believe the role of Member of Parliament is a service position to the people and Patricia Auchnie understands this. Patricia has an impressive two decade track record of solving problems and supporting people making her the best candidate to represent and unite the people of Central Nova.
Also, as a former Nova Scotia Premier's granddaughter (RIP Roger Bacon 1926-2021), Patricia is intimately aware of the sacrifices a family makes when their name goes on a ballot to serve. It is not only a candidates sacrifice, it is a family sacrifice and they are well prepared for the challenges ahead.
We can not unseat the red team if Patricia can not win the nomination for the blue team. Help us today to get Patricia there, for a better tomorrow.
