Lets Work Together For A Safer Canada

Safety is a primary concern for many Canadians and the data demonstrates that we are less safe under Trudeau's government.

Housing
Safety is inseparable from secure housing. Canadians cannot feel safe while facing insecure housing or homelessness. We can address this by increasing the housing supply, reducing bureaucratic red tape, improving long-term planning, and streamlining system efficiencies.

Crime and Justice Reform
Rising car thefts, home invasions, and violent crimes threaten our communities. Our Federal justice system requires reform to ensure that the bail system works, crime is punished, and rehabilitation programs are effective.

Economic Stability
The country's finances are in a shameful shambles due to wasteful spending. Good governance begins with respecting the public purse. We must create opportunities for economic growth, improve international relations to attract investment, and generate jobs for Canadian citizens.

Quality of Life
Many people in Central Nova and across Canada lack the financial security to eat healthily, fill prescriptions, fuel their vehicles, or heat their homes. Trudeau's government has systematically dismantled our quality of life, jeopardizing the Canadian dream for our children. We all deserve better. It's time to fix this.

A Practical Approach
I was raised to find practical solutions: map out what needs to be done, get to work, and then check to make sure the work actually gets the results needed—a formula otherwise known as common sense. My team and I are committed to earning a spot on the Federal Conservative team to deliver results for Canada.

Join Us
I want to work for you. I have the heart, the mind, and the determination to bring us together for better things. I need your help to achieve this. Please join Team Patricia for Central Nova today for a better tomorrow.

Carrying The Torch: A Legacy of Persistence and Community

I still remember the sound of clinking glasses, eyes burning as I ran through my grandparent's living room thick with smoke, darting between
people, and listening to their laughter.  I was a child.  I remember thinking, "Wow, what a party!"  I didn't realize that it was a celebration of my grandfather, Roger Bacon, winning another provincial election.

He never lost an election.  I can't say the same, but I can say that I inherited his and my father's persistence, a quality necessary for the job I'm applying to do.

As I drive through the North Shore to the Eastern Shore and everywhere in between, I feel Roger riding shotgun alongside me.  It is surreal at times as I am actually driving my grandfather's old Ford as I campaign in Central Nova.  I am focused on listening, learning, and shoring up the support of like-minded people for my bid for the Federal Conservative nomination.

My Grampy died a few years ago, a loss most of us have not yet come to terms with.  He was larger than life and I always felt important in his presence.  My father had a visIit with Roger's care provider shortly before his passing and mentioned to her that Roger's old car was in town getting detailed, undercoated, and having new tires put on.  Dad told her that he would be giving the vehicle to me.  As she looked at my father, a big smile spread across her face, and she said, "Roger knew that is where the vehicle would go."

Family is everything for me.  We stand tall together through hard things with roots deep in Nova Scotia.  Family is where we learn who we are, the value of hard work, and how to dust ourselves off after a fall and get back on the horse.  Home is where we learn our standards, the value of a dollar, the importance of helping others and doing the right thing for the right reasons.

My experience in business, in not-for-profit, corporate, and government sectors, and as a service  provider to those living with substance use problems, behaviour addictions, mental illness, chronic health conditions, and serious injuries has prepared me well to understand people, suffering, systems, and the complexities of our time.

With every mile I drive in my grandfather's old Ford, I am not just continuing a family tradition - I am forging a future where our shared values of hard work, resilience, and community lead the way.  Together, let's build a stronger Central Nova, rooted in the legacy of those who came before us and inspired by the promise of what lies ahead.

Home in Central Nova

Hello friends, neighbors and community members, my name is Patricia Auchnie and this is my first blog post about the community voices we have heard so far and our team's bid to earn the Federal Conservative Nomination for Central Nova.

At the end of April 2024, Elections Canada initiated many Federal electoral district boundaries changes across Canada. Now that the new lines are official, our team is formally announcing the launch of our “Patricia For Central Nova” campaign.

You can learn more about the new boundaries for Central Nova here: https://redecoupage-redistribution-2022.ca/ebv2/index.html?locale=en-ca

We have been hearing from you that our riding is eager for a common sense, community minded, hard working candidate to turn this riding back to Conservative blue. I was asked to seek this nomination and I have been working hard, and smart, to become YOUR chosen Conservative Party of Canada candidate for the 45th Federal election.

Our growing campaign team of local volunteers has been working together since last year focusing on meeting, and listening to, as many people as we can. To chart a new course and build a plan for the future, we must understand current community strengths, resources, opportunities, needs, fears, and barriers. People are telling us that there is much work to do to right this ship, that Canada is off course and those in the wheelhouse continue to ignore what is taking us down.

Improving the quality of life of people has been my focus in volunteer work and professional career. In accepting this nomination challenge, I am applying my professional and personal skills to listen and learn more about how this government's failed policies have impacted lives and livelihoods. The stories we are hearing are heart wrenching and our team empathizes with the people who feel ashamed of what this government has done to the fiscal health of our country, to our quality of life and the cost of living. We have seen evidence of failed social and environmental policies, perpetual ethical violations, and the failure to plan for and protect Canadians’ financial future.

We can all agree that it is difficult to achieve great things when a dollar is definitely not going as far as a dollar should. We are living in a time of confusion, constant change and distractions. We have the red team party governing with unchecked authoritarian power, unmonitored foreign influences, corrupt corporate interests mixed with destructive government policies. Having bad actors in the wheelhouse has resulted in disaster for our communities. Join us in letting them know it’s time for them to go!

Hope still lives in the hearts of many we spoke with. As we all know, Nova Scotians come from good stock. We are strong, creative, intelligent and resilient people. We are capable of overcoming hardships, disasters and achieving great things together.

We’ve cleaned up their mess before, and we will do it again!  We have all we need to succeed and it's time we show this failed Federal government the door.

We are working to bring YOUR voice to Ottawa to bring safety, security, and prosperity HOME TO CENTRAL NOVA!

Please consider joining our team today, for a better tomorrow.
